Window Washer Fluid
Use these instructions: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_eiS7enMMo
Fill to about 3-5 inches below the top.
When buying the blue washer fluid, it’s better to buy to winter fluid that doesn’t freeze in cold weather. (Unless of course you live in a warmer region)
Walmart’s Supertech costs about $3.66/gallon these days.
Checking Engine Oil Level
Unless you have an oil leak, there is not much need to check your engine oil level on a newer car.
However, it’s always good to check your oil level before going on a longer trip just to make sure you don’t run into any issues.
Checking Tire Pressure and Filling Air
Keeping your tire pressure in check keeps your car safe and extends your tire life.
To check your tire pressure, you’ll need an accurate tire pressure gauge.
If your tire pressure is low, you can fill your air using an air compressor at home or at a gas station, but the easiest method these days is to keep a portable battery jump starter with an integrated tire inflator.

checking tire tread life
You can do a quick check of your tire life by looking at the low tread indicators on your tires.
If you don’t know your tire tread depth or how it works, tire shops and dealers will easily take advantage of that.
If you want to know if you are due for new tires or need to know if your tires need rotation or not, you will want to check your tread depth accurately using a measure tool.
Checking Brake Pad Life
Brake pads are one of those things that an auto shop will take advantage of a customer if they don’t understand how brake pad wear and life works.
For a quick check, you can visually see your brake pads from the side of your wheel.
